Student Story Parn lives with her parents and is an only child. Her family lives in the orange groves where they are able to live for free and pick up work there inside the groves during certain seasons. When they are able to get work there they make about $8-12 USD a day. Her mother was born with a leg condition which causes her to move slowly and stops her from getting higher paid jobs in the groves. Parn says at school she enjoys her Science class as she enjoys learning new things. When she gets older she would like to be a nurse so that she can help others. In her free time she enjoys helping her mother out with different kinds of chores around her home. Parn’s family is hoping to get this scholarship through the MOT foundation which will help lift a financial burden off her educational fees.
