Student Story Ker lives at home with her parents and her older brother. Her family lives inside the orange groves where both of her parents work as hired workers. Although they live inside the groves, their work in the groves depends on the different seasons. When they are able to pick up work inside the groves they make about $8 a day. Ker enjoys studying Math at school as she said she likes working with numbers. When she grows up Ker said she would like to be a nurse as she enjoys helping others. When she has free time she likes to hang out with her friends. Ker is hoping to get this scholarships as it will enable her to study far and it will also help her parents out financially.
