Since the beginning of Mighty Oaks, it has been one of our goals to fight the pervasive cycle of poverty in whatever way we can. One of the ways that we have helped over the years has been through Agricultural Development.
By providing a starting point for a family or community, we have been successful in helping them become more self-sufficient. Some of the projects that we have helped with include raising frogs and fish, chickens and pigs, we have even provided a cow for one of our families. The most successful projects have been with the chickens and pigs and many of these are still ongoing.
More recently we have been helping the families of our students by installing water filtration systems, providing clean potable water in their home.
We are always looking for more ways that we can help these families and communities achieve self-sufficiency.
