Sunan lived with her mom and dad who earned very little money working in the fields and babysitting. Sunan was the top academic student in Chiang Mai province and we were so delighted to assist her, making University studies a reality she could pursue.
She was very active with Campus Crusade for Christ while in University and excelled with her studies at Chiang Mai University where she was enrolled in Humanities Faculty with an English major.
She was awarded two scholarships from her university to travel to the States and study English during the summer months. As a result she entered a job as an English translator and tour guide and later, pursued, on her own, an additional year of University which qualified her for teaching.
Sunan is presently teaching in a community close to Fang and is reported to be excelling in her field. She has been asked to present workshops and seminars to her fellow teachers on the teaching of English.
Sunun wrote to us saying,
Thank you so much for your kindness, encouragement and all you did to help me. I am so thankful. I love you and may God bless you.
