Did you know that trafficking in persons is a worldwide pandemic? Of all of the identified persons that are affected each year, 25% of them are under the age of 18. Since 2001, the number of boys that have been identified has quintupled and now make up 17% of the persons affected and girls make up the remaining 18%. Online recruitment for jobs or romantic relationships is increasingly a key pathway to trafficking. Manufacturers are engaging in shady practices to conceal evidence of forced labor and human rights abuses. 

Join us as we discuss these points, where Thailand stands, and what Mighty Oaks is doing to prevent human trafficking in Northern Thailand.
