Carolyn Hudson - Founder and Chairperson
Carolyn Hudson and her husband Albert are the Founders of Mighty Oaks Global Initiatives. This year (2014) they celebrate 10 years of ministry in Northern Thailand.
Before retirement, in the year 2000, Carolyn , as an educator, taught and cared for Special Needs children for 27 years . Her experience included all ages of children who were deaf, visually-impaired, physically-impaired, and multi – handicapped. Her last 15 years were as a Principal at W. Ross Macdonald School for Visually-impaired. This was Carolyn’s first journey of experiencing ‘the impossible made possible with Christ’.
Carolyn and Albert celebrated 49 years of marriage, July-2014. They have enjoyed the blessing of a son and two daughters which have extended to their spouses and nine beautiful grandchildren.
Dan Noble - Vice-Chairperson
Dan Noble has been on the board of The Mighty Oaks Global Initiative since 2013 and has recently become the Vice Chair and Development Coordinator working closely with the founders Carolyn and Abe Hudson.
Before he came on the board with Mighty Oaks Dan was working for Samaritans Purse Canada as Regional Manager for Operation Christmas Child in Western ON.
Dan has extensive training in volunteer management and has taken Level One and Level Two in High Impact Volunteer Management through Newell and Associates.
He has travelled to many different countries to impact children and adult’s living in desperate situations and extreme poverty.
Dan lives in Grimsby ON and has been married to his wife Jane for almost 30 years. They have 7 children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
