Student Story Motana lives with her mother and younger sister. Her father is currently working in Bangkok as he was unable to find steady work back home in Chiang Mai. Her family moved to Thailand from Burma and they do not currently have citizenship in Thailand and must remain in the designated areas set for the family. Her father was able to get permission to work in Bangkok and he sends money back to the family when he can. Motana’s mother works as a maid where she makes $6 USD a day. At school Motana likes to study Art because she loves to draw. When she has free time at home she enjoys helping her mother out with chores. When she grows up she would like to become a teacher.
