Mighty Oaks Tutoring provides tutoring services within Fairfield County to primarily home-based learners.
Although we offer flexible, extensive evening and weekend enrichment and remedial assistance, our primary mission is to provide guidance, structure and instruction to home bound and home schooled students.
Mighty Oaks independently assess each student and works cooperatively with primary teachers and associations to develop instruction that will enhance the in-school learning that occurs.
We adapt standard reading, writing and math instruction to meet the unique, multiple learning styles of each student. We often imbed one subject within another subject that might be of greater interest to a student. For example, we may use art to develop our students as writers and mathemeticians. We may also use science to strengthen reading decoding and comprehension skills.
Teachers are Certified with the State of CT or NY to teach K-6 grade and have experience teaching in Fairfield County Schools.
Teachers have earned a Masters Degree in Education and have experience working with preschool to High School aged students.
